About Me

My name is Christoph Henkelmann and I am a Software Developer, IT Consultant and Founder from Cologne, Germany.

I studied Computer Science and Musicology at the University of Bonn. After working as a Software Developer in various fields and working as a Freelance IT Consultant I founded TheAppGuys, a Mobile Agency with a focus on technically challenging projects.

My current focus lies on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and on founding new companies.

As a developer I have a very strong Java Server Background (the infamous “Java Enterprise Development”) but have also worked with a wide variety of other technologies and languages including Python, C/C++, Scala, Haskell, JavaScript, Clojure and more.

Apart from programming I play the piano and the didgeridoo and tend to my cacti.
